The Ranger Tugs R-23 is designed with a hard chined hull with a vertical stem, an anchor roller, spray strakes and a transom stern platform equipped with a swim ladder and outboard engine mount. In addition: stainless-steel capped rub rails and stainless-steel bow, stern and swim platform rails.

Deck
The deck layout is reminiscent of a tug style pilothouse cruiser. There is an electric anchor windlass and chain/rode locker located on the foredeck. Along the side decks there are strategically placed hand holds and grab rails that lead you to and from the expansive rear cockpit. The cockpit features generous storage in the form of lockers, a starboard transom door and fold down bench seating.
