The Boat

Accommodations

 Designed by world renowned naval architects Berret / Racoupeau with the stylizing collaboration of Nauta Design, who set the bar on how a modern yacht interior should look with the Beneteau 40.  Strategically placed windows in the cabin top and hull sides allow you to enjoy the outside views from the comfort of the salon, while also making the space fell larger, bright and airy.  Very different from the often dark and claustrophobic interiors of older yachts. 2 stateroom, 1 head layout

SALON:

• Entering from the companionway, the head is to starboard with the L-shaped galley and aft facing nav station to port.  Moving forward, a large U-Shaped dinette with bench to starboard and regular sized  settee to port make for a great conversation pit.
• Light toned Alpi-Moabi woodwork, with white leather accents.  Every panel of the  cabin sole opens up for fantastic technical access and storage.
• Surprising amount of storage found along hull side lockers, under the settees, in the chart table and under the floor. 
• (2) fixed hull ports with curtains, (1) Panoramic window w/folding blinds, (1) large & (2) smaller overhead opening deck hatches with w/Oceanair combination
  screen/privacy curtain, (2) Fixed side windows -(1) to port with (2) opening ports,
  (1) to starboard with (1) opening port.
• Non-skid on the companionway steps and grab rails for safety.
• Cream fabric on the settees with zipper enclosure - able to be dry cleaned when needed to keep them looking fresh.
• LED overhead cabin lights, indirect lighting along hull sides

Deck and Hull

CONSTRUCTION: Fiberglass hull bonded to a structural grid/hull liner for a strong, stiff, light composite. Vinylester hull barrier coat to resist osmotic blistering and zone-specific stitchmat laminates for specific increased strength.

The deck is a cored with end grain balsa sandwiched between fiberglass for stiffness, thermal and acoustic insulation and lighter weight. Solid fiberglass reinforcements in high load areas. Main bulkheads bonded 360° to the hull and deck for rigid torsional and compressive strength.

• Dual helms really open up the cockpit area and allow for unrestricted access from the companionway out to the swim platform
• Factory installed rub rail (for when you get too close to those pilings when docking!)
• Large cockpit storage locker (great access to genset)
• Teak inlaid cockpit seats (currently in need of revarnishing)
• Cockpit table w/2 drop leaves fitted w/locker, bottle stowage and 12V ambiance lamp
• Fantastic access to swim platform via lifting helm seat.  Teak slatted swim platform with swim ladder & hot/cold cockpit shower
• Bow roller with 44lb Bruce type anchor w/ 40' chain and 150' rode.  Raw water wash down at bow to get the muck off your anchor.  Self draining anchor locker
• Electric windlass w/remote control
• (6) conveniently placed deck cleats w/rub strakes
• Hull & topsides buffed & waxed September 2019!
• Captains navy canvas - bimini / dodger / connector (cleaned & serviced 2019 & in excellent condition)
