 Designed by world renowned naval architects Berret / Racoupeau with the stylizing collaboration of Nauta Design, who set the bar on how a modern yacht interior should look with the Beneteau 40.  Strategically placed windows in the cabin top and hull sides allow you to enjoy the outside views from the comfort of the salon, while also making the space fell larger, bright and airy.  Very different from the often dark and claustrophobic interiors of older yachts. 2 stateroom, 1 head layout

SALON:

  • Entering from the companionway, the head is to starboard with the L-shaped galley and aft facing nav station to port.  Moving forward, a large U-Shaped dinette with bench to starboard and regular sized  settee to port make for a great conversation pit.
  • Light toned Alpi-Moabi woodwork, with white leather accents.  Every panel of the  cabin sole opens up for fantastic technical access and storage.
  • Surprising amount of storage found along hull side lockers, under the settees, in the chart table and under the floor.

Deck and Hull

CONSTRUCTION: Fiberglass hull bonded to a structural grid/hull liner for a strong, stiff, light composite. Vinylester hull barrier coat to resist osmotic blistering and zone-specific stitchmat laminates for specific increased strength.

The deck is a cored with end grain balsa sandwiched between fiberglass for stiffness, thermal and acoustic insulation and lighter weight. Solid fiberglass reinforcements in high load areas. Main bulkheads bonded 360° to the hull and deck for rigid torsional and compressive strength.

  • Dual helms really open up the cockpit area and allow for unrestricted access from the companionway out to the swim platform
