In reviewing the details on this vessel, you’ll notice she has 6800 hours on the engine.  That represents a lot of cruising time and that’s actually a good thing.  Vessels in this age group that sit around a lot typically have issues due to corrosion buildup and simply lack of care (‘she doesn’t need anything, we’ve only put 30 hours on her this past year’).  Yet any knowledgeable diesel mechanic will tell you that an engine that is regularly used and properly maintained will provide trouble-free service for a long time, some suggesting that it will perform well into the mid teen’s of hours.  Osprey has been regularly serviced with all receipts for the last seven years and has had a recent mechanical survey and oil samples.  All of this demonstrates that she’s in great shape and ready for many more years of service and enjoyment.
