Discovery is a one-owner 2005 Mainship 34 with 1,374 hours on the upgraded Yanmar 370hp diesel engine.

This 2005 is a redesign of the older 1970's and 1980's Mainship 34. This 2005 has wide side decks, bordered with bulwarks and stainless steel rails, molded steps to the fly bridge, and large picture windows for visibility; keeping you safe in many different types of seastates and speeds. With the 370hp diesel, Discovery is a fast trawler that has a top speed around 20kn and a cruise anywhere from 7-14 knots; letting you either take your time and enjoy the journey or escape incoming weather.

Discovery is a beamy, one-stateroom, one-head layout with lights of living space. As you walk into the double wide doors you are met with a large salon with settee to starboard and additional seating to starboard.

Moving forward is a large counter that overlooks the down galley, with two woven stools. To starboard is the lower helm which sports the side power bow and stern thrusters. Moving forward and down the stairs is the galley with a Force 10 two-burner stove and oven, a microwave, and sink with plenty of counter space in between.

As you continue forward you are met with a private master stateroom trimmed in cherry wood with a island queen bed, two cedar-lined hanging lockers and private entry to the stand-up head. The head features a Vacu-flush toilet and separate, dry shower stall.

Engine room access is underneath the stairs, and while it can be cumbersome to get into, once inside the space opens up nice and is well laid out. Visibility is great from the flybridge with all electronics.
