After years of owning and sailing boats up to 38 feet, these avid boaters bought a trawler. They were a little hesitant about going from sail to power at first, but fell completely in love with this boat.
Here are their words about their beloved Danu....
- WE HAVE DAYLIGHT INSIDE! After years of being down in the dark interiors of sailboats, the Sabreline 34 gives us fabulous 360-degree views from inside through it's large salon windows, expansive windshield and sliding glass doors.
- IT IS EASY TO HANDLE. Docking, anchoring and handling underway are very easy for a couple to do.
- GREAT STORAGE! She was the smallest boat we could find that had enough storage and amenities for extended cruising. We took her to Florida for a winter and lived and cooked on her for 7 consecutive months.
- HER SMALL SIZE INCREASES AVAILABILITY OF SLIPS. We had a much easier time finding slips in Florida over the winter because of her under 40-foot size.
- BEAUTIFUL LIGHT TEAK CABINETRY AND TRIM. We had never seen light teak before we saw this boat, and as soon as we saw it we were in love. It was not dark inside nor was it all white fiberglass with no warmth or personality.
- WE HAVE A REAL BED WITH A CUSTOM MATTRESS! While many boats have V-berths, the master stateroom has an island berth with a custom mattress.
- IT IS FAST FOR A TRAWLER! She is faster than your average trawler, while still being fuel efficient. The faster cruising ability allows us to better control boat motion in rough water and to get out of bad weather quicker. She gets us where we want to go faster, yet still slow enough that we can enjoy the journey.
- BUILDER AND DESIGN ADVANTAGE We wanted to buy a trawler from a well-known, respected builder; one who pays attention to the details. The Sabreline 34 has two 6'3"-long settees with tons of storage underneath, a custom-built tool drawer with tools, and a secure storage area for fishing gear which we used for wine bottle storage. It also has four good-sized storage cabinets/bins in the galley (and a number of drawers), two very large hanging lockers (one with several shelves), and numerous drawers and lockers in the master stateroom.
