1983 Hunter 31

Racine, Wisconsin, United States

$18,000

Carrie Alyce" has had two owners since 1983.  She has always been in freshwater and well cared for.    She is well equipped for both day sailing as well as a week out on the Great Lakes. All rigging comes back to cockpit for ease of couples sailing or racing.  Her PHRF rating is 181 and she can get to a hull speed of 6.5 knots!

The easy to read depth and speed instruments are mounted one on each side of the companion way door leading below decks. The autopilot is mounted on the aft  side of the starboard seat. The VHF is mounted on the Nav station below deck along side the Garmin and Stereo, while the remote mike for the VHF is on the port side wall near the helm.

There is a vee berth forward, with a comfortable cushions. There is dry storage both dinette seats, and 2 large bins under the front of the berth for your foul weather gear and overnight bags.

Outside there is storage to port with an opening port, with the enclosed head to starboard.   The head is large.  There is a sink to your left as you enter, with hot and cold running water.   The teak seat folds up against the bulkhead  for use of the head and down to provide a seat for showering.
The salon leads to the dining table where the seats face each other for cosey conversation.  The table lowers to form a double berth for guests. The forward part of the dinette features   even more storage underneath.  There is a single skinny settee on the port side.    There are storage cabinets with sliding doors, and shelves  lining both side of the salon for storage, extra dishes for cooking and entertainment.    For a 30 foot sailboat, the spacious galley offers loads of counter space and lots of storage. There is a built in garbage container with top which keeps trash from spilling about.  The galley has nice racks for plates, dishes and cups built into the aft bulkhead. Across from the galley, and at the aft end of the port settee, is the nav station.  Lifting lid with plenty of room for your charting needs.   Room for the VHF and other electronics.  The flat screen TV is mounted above the forward Dinette seat on the Bulkhead between the Salon and Head.  Behind that is a hanging locker, then a large quarter berth, with room for two.

Sellers loved their boat, but said it is time to concentrate on their next chapter in life.  They are leaving MANY items aboard so new owner will be well equipped on any starting line race or cruise.

Description
Innovation in design, excellence in engineering, and an incredible layout make the Hunter 310 a great midsize cruiser. The interior boasts two private staterooms, each with their own privacy bulkhead (not just a curtain). Great natural light is plentiful throughout the cabin with multiple hatches and screened ports as well as the Hunter wraparound windshield. Entertaining or dining, the salon can handle family or friends with ease. The large dinette easily converts to a double for extended families and the settees offer plenty of storage as well. Topsides, the Hunter 310 has an immense rounded cockpit that allows all the crew to participate or kick back as they desire. The stern rail seats are up and out of the way, and a custom console houses the standard VHF and instruments as well as the engine controls and compass. Twin drop leafs allow for cockpit dining, and there is plenty of storage under the seating. The helm seat hinges aft, leading onto the walkthrough transom complete with propane tank storage and a retractable swim ladder with a cockpit shower.   Hunter Marine The Hunter Marine Corporation was founded in 1973 to build truly affordable sailboats. Although not making boats anymore, these sailboat sare some of the most performing and most accommodating sailboats at a reasonable price.
