'Amazon' is a luxury ketch rigged motor sailer, built by Lidingoverken J.A Aberg & CO in Sweden in 1949, initially to be used as a meteorological vessel for the Swedish Government.

In 1975 and 1989, the yacht was extensively redesigned and refitted to convert her into a luxury super yacht, perfectly designed for cruising with guests onboard, as has been her use ever since.

In 2004/5, the current owners completed a major rebuild to modernise the vessel and turn her into a world-class Atlantic Ocean racer.  In 2017, she was dry-docked and underwent an internal refurbishment, with the addition of a further guest cabin.

S/Y Amazon is truly a state-of-the-art luxury mega-yacht, steeped in history, and constantly updated to make her not only a stunning cruiser but also an extremely capable ocean racer. She is now awaiting her next owner to continue her story.

This Lidingoverken J.A Aberg & Co motor sailer is powered by two Caterpillar 3306PC 300hp marine diesel engines. The port-side engine has 3,530 engine hours, and the starboard-side engine has 3,439 engine hours.

She is also fitted with two bow thrusters.

Generators include a Caterpillar 45kw from 2012 (3,980 hours), a Mercedes-Onan 45kw fully overhauled in 2005 (6,100 hours), and a further Fischer Panda 40kw generator from 2005 (6,300 hours).

S/Y Amazon features accommodation for up to 13 guests.

At mid-ships are four guest cabins, each with twin berths or double berths, and an ensuite bathroom. To aft are a further two guest cabins, also each featuring an ensuite bathroom.

To forward are crew quarters with three twin cabins, offering accommodation for 6 crew, each with an ensuite bathroom. There is also a crew galley and mess found forward.

The galley is very well equipped with all necessary galley implements, including all electrical appliances, three refrigerators, ice maker, microwave and much more.

The saloon space is fitted with a leather sofa and coffee table, and there is a separate dining area which can accommodate up to 15 guests  for formal dining. The oak wood interior is in mint condition, with new carpets, mattresses and leather linings for the sofas and seats being refurbished in 2017.

There is air-conditioning throughout this Lidingoverken J.A Aberg yacht.

The decks of this Lidingoverken J.A Aberg 'S/Y Amazon' are finished in stunning teak, with full deck gear including anchors, windlass, guard rails and capstans.

Plentiful guest accommodation is also provided on deck with seating areas and a full al-fresco dining area for fifteen guests.

This Lidingoverken J.A Aberg & Co. luxury yacht is also equipped with a 5.5m Selva RIB tender with 60hp outboard engine.

There is also a See-Doo GTX LTD-IS-260, 260hp jet ski and a See-Doo GTI 130hp jet ski.
