Oyster yachts are designed to optimise cruising comfort and practical seamanlike features. However this does not mean that they do not take performance seriously. Their commitment to quality, testing, development and after sales service is second to none and are the reasons why almost half Oyster new-builds are for existing owners
< Back to previous pageThe Oyster 46 Ketch, designed by Holman and Pye and produced by Oyster in the 1980's is held in high regard by serious offshore cruisers. The ketch rigged configuration provides an easily handled rig for short handed cruising, keeping the boat well balanced in all conditions. Semi custom in their design no two versions of the class are identical with the original owners having tweaked the layout to suit their own personal requirements. Hull number 8 of the class JUST TIP TOP is with only her second owner since being built in 1983. She is fitted out below decks providing accommodation for 8 over 4 separate cabins with a large galley and saloon area. Bought by the current owner in 1993 she has been professionally maintained and upgraded throughout her life and her inventory features a new teak deck (2002/03), comprehensive sail wardrobe and recent replacement of standing rigging. Wintering afloat in Mid Argyll viewing is by appointment. |
