This much loved and well maintained Hallberg Rassy 45 will appeal to any long distance cruiser as her extensive inventory and her previous overall victory in the ARC over the Atlantic, in competition with a range of vessels from Whitbread boats and racers/cruisers to smaller family style boats.

When the Hallberg-Rassy 45 was launched it was a trendsetter, this was the first Hallberg-Rassy designed by German Frers who introduced an external lead keel, a sturdy hull stiffener along and across the boat, between the floor and the keel, which reinforces the construction considerably. A total of 71 Hallberg Rassy 45's were built demonstrating their blue water cruiser appeal.

In addition the Hallberg Rassy 45 hull was insulated with Divinycell foam core, which not only insulates from heat and cold, it also ensures an even firmer hull with a smooth inside, in contrast to the stringers of old days.

Below deck this Hallberg-Rassy 45 is a cozy home. Lean back in the comfortable upholstery and enjoy the soft sheen of the selected mahogany. The interior concept, typical for Hallberg-Rassy, has been thought through in every detail. The Hallberg-Rassy 45 is a yacht one can live on. On deck the safe, deep cockpit also ensures that you will have very easy access to the accommodation from the cockpit.

The Hallberg-Rassy 45 has a positive angle transom giving a great aft deck and easy access to the stowage space below. It also makes the docking and the passage ashore easy. The design of the underwater shape ensures that the HR 45 will ride at anchor without yawing.

Auxiliary powered by a Volvo Penta 94Hp 4 cylinder diesel engine with shaft driving a Maxprop feathering propeller this HR 45 benefits from the addition of a rope cutter and to support her long distance cruising ability a 4Kva generator, 350W inverter and independent charger for her domestic, engine and generator battery banks.
